Your privacy and rights. This statement explains what information is collected, how it is used and stored and your legal rights regarding that information.

Who has access to your information?

The information you provide is controlled by Julie Ashworth ("Data Controller") and is never passed on to anyone else.

NOTE: ‘information’ refers to your contact details. I never have access to your financial information when you make payments via my online Etsy shop or via Paypal. All financial information is held securely by the processing companies, and they never share this with me, or anyone else.

What information is collected and how is it used?

When you choose to contact me through a web form, you provide your name, email address, and telephone number (should you choose to give it). This information is used to contact you if I need to respond to your question.

When you purchase something from me, either directly or through my online shop, you provide your name, postal address and email address to enable me to process the order.

How is your information protected?

The website provider I use, PS Website Design Ltd, has cookies enabled for this site. All data held is held on third party servers, protected by industry standard security protocols, that are active and backed up exclusively in the EU. This website is backed up regularly and copies held for 30 days.

Cookies

__utmb: Google Analytics: Used to determine new sessions/visits. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utmb cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.

__utmt: Google Analytics: Used to throttle request rate.

__utmz: Google Analytics: Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached your site. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.

PHPSESSID: Unknown: Used by multiple companies, but usually this cookie is necessary to provide you with access to secure areas.

__utmc: Google Analytics: Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit.

__utma: Google Analytics: Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utma cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.

language_id: Unknown: There are many different types of cookies associated with this name, and a more detailed look at how it is used on a particular website is generally recommended. However, in most cases it will likely be use

DYNSRV: Hosting Provider: This cookie is believed to be used for load balancing to manage server traffic demand.

I keep a spreadsheet of invoices, on a password protected computer, solely for accounting and tax purposes (all sales records have to be kept for at least 6 years).
